Before I figured out this tip for opening stubborn jars, I probably would have used the technique of hitting the back of a knife to the edge of the lid, but who wants to risk getting tiny shards of glass into your food? Not me!
Next time you find a large rubberband, be sure to squirrel it away in your kitchen, because it comes in handy when you need to open a stubborn jar!
