I really felt strongly that within my makeover series we needed a great step-by-step basic makeup application tutorial! It only makes sense, right? For this post, I decided to reach out to my dear friend, Shannon Hadden, for her expertise. She posts really great makeup videos on her social media and I’m always mesmerized watching them! You will learn so much from Shannon, I guarantee! She really knows her stuff!
Shannon has her own shop selling Younique products, and you probably best know them for their awesome 3D Fiber Lashes mascara. I am super picky about the ingredients in the products I use, and I was pleased to learn that Younique’s products are free of parabens, petrochemicals, fillers, talc, and preservatives. I’ve always liked using false lashes on special occasions, but they are such pain to put on, and expensive, too! I purchased the 3D Fiber Lashes from Shannon and it looks so much nicer than false lashes and are a breeze to apply. Plus, they were recently reformulated, and are now even more improved!
And now for a great in-depth makeup tutorial to teach you all you need to know about proper makeup application, I turn the rest of this post over to Shannon!
Hey fabulous friends! How is everyone doing?
I’m so excited and honored to be Laurie’s guest post today on makeup. I want to make something very clear though…lol…I am not a makeup artist. Ha ha! I’m just a girl who LOVES makeup. I love talking about makeup, I love sharing my favorite products so this is super exciting for me. Let’s get to it, shall we?!
When I thought about what I could say about makeup, something you ladies don’t already know, the thought popped up in my mind that I think people are afraid of makeup because it can get complicated. How many times have you seen people with their makeup bag and they have like 20 different brushes, they have a whole palette of different foundation colors for contour and highlighting? Sometimes makeup can be so overwhelming, am I right? I don’t want it to be complicated for me – ain’t nobody got time for that – or for anyone else. I want us as women to see how even just a little bit of makeup can truly enhance our beauty. I want us to truly LOVE ourselves.
So, how can you apply your makeup without having 20 different brushes to use? I’m going to show you how to achieve amazing results in half the time, and with half of the products. I’m going to show you some of my makeup “must-haves”, and the everyday couple of tools I use.
In this video, Shannon shows us the following steps, as well as the products she personally uses for her everyday look.
